India needs to increase its public spending on healthcare to at least 5% of GDP. India’s medical devices market is about $15 billion, which is expected to grow to $50 billion by 2025. Today India imports 80% of its requirement. An increase in public spending coupled with “Make in India” will lead to tremendous growth in the medical devices market and adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.
